DAN 320: DANCE PEDAGOGY

This course examines the foundational processes of teaching and learning dance. Students will examine key issues, methods, and materials that inform instructional decisions while developing strategies to integrate technical, conceptual, and pedagogical knowledge in dance education. Emphasis is placed on varied teaching approaches, including practice-based learning, observation, practicum experiences, and the thoughtful use of technology. Through this course, students will gain the tools to design inclusive and engaging dance instruction that responds to the unique interests and abilities of all learners.
