The Student Teaching Seminar in Music provides structured support for music education majors during the student teaching semester. Through guided reflection, discussion, and applied practice, candidates examine instructional planning, rehearsal pedagogy, classroom management, assessment practices, school policies, and professional practices within the context of their
clinical placements. The course facilitates the synthesis of prior coursework with full-time teaching responsibilities and supports completion of certification requirements. Emphasis is placed on reflective practice, professional communication, and preparation for entry into the teaching profession.
