CHM 180: General Chemistry I

This is an introductory chemistry course that explores the nature of matter, its interactions, and how it applies to our everyday lives. Topics include atomic and molecular structure, stoichiometry, chemical reactions, chemical bonding, the behavior of gases, and thermodynamics. Three hours of lecture and three hours of laboratory work are required per week. Students must also be enrolled in a section of CHM 180L.
