Environmental Studies is an interdisciplinary field, drawing from the natural sciences, the social sciences, and the humanities to help us understand and work with the environment in which we live. Students majoring in Environmental Studies at Converse take a diversity of courses in these fields to expose them to human understanding of the environment. Additional courses in statistics and data science give them skills to evaluate environmental data. Students completing this liberal arts major should be able to critically evaluate and persuasively write and speak about environmental issues.
