PHI 310: METAETHICS

Credits 3

What is the fundamental nature of morality? Are moral values objective and independent of us, or are they human constructs that vary from person to person or society to society? Why should we care about being moral at all in the first place? How does morality relate to science, religion, and art? This course may be used to satisfy the “values” requirement for the major.
