This course covers the application of specific behavioral teaching procedures used to decrease or eliminate behaviors, with emphasis on ethical interventions and the desirability of least restrictive and non-aversive strategies. It also emphasizes procedures and plans to teach communication, social, and self-help skills. It covers the purpose, rationale, and methods for conducting and interpreting functional analyses of challenging behaviors. Prerequisite: SED 321- Foundations of ASD.
