This is the second course in the General Chemistry sequence. This course introduces the concepts of thermodynamics, equilibrium, liquids and phase changes, colligative properties, acid-base chemistry, and electrochemistry. Three hours of lecture and three hours of lab work are required per week. Students should also be enrolled in a section of CHM 181L. Offered every spring semester for major or minor credit.

CHM 180 with a C- or better.
