This course is an introduction to a relatively new area of mathematics study. A diverse collection of applications includes operations research, sociology and chemistry. An introduction to mathematical proofs is included, and various proof techniques are illustrated while developing the theory itself.
Prerequisites
MTH 351 or permission of the instructor.
