The Health and Wellness Studies major aims to prepare students to work in a variety of healthcare professions, including community and corporate health, health education, law and public policy, and the fitness industry. The coursework and the final capstone (internship) ensure students gain the knowledge, skills, and abilities to pursue further education in graduate and professional schools (fitness training, healthcare
administration, research, community advocacy, and mental health advocacy) and are prepared for gainful employment in healthcare and fitness industry.
The major has a required core course component and 3 concentration options, each of which has both required and elective courses. Student credit hours to be earned: 40-42
